What is ashwagandha?
Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub in the nightshade family, used for centuries in India's Ayurvedic tradition. The part used is mainly the root, which is dried and ground. Its Sanskrit name refers to the root's strong, earthy smell when fresh.
