What is coffee berry?
Coffee berry is the whole fruit of the coffee plant: the red cherry that surrounds the coffee bean. The fruit is dried and ground into a powder, and like the bean inside it, it contains natural caffeine of its own.
Where it comes from
Coffee shrubs grow on shady mountain slopes in the tropics, from Ethiopia, where coffee began, to Colombia and Indonesia.
The cherries ripen from green to deep red.
