What is rice bran?
Rice bran is the thin brown outer layer of the rice grain, removed when brown rice is polished into white rice. It's a soft, nutty-tasting powder, and the oil pressed from it is a mild, light cooking oil for frying.
Where it comes from
Rice grows in flooded paddies across Asia and in places like Arkansas and California.
